Lg French Door Ice Maker Test Button
Locate the ice maker s on off switch on the left side of the unit.
Lg french door ice maker test button. 1 first locate the ice maker in your freezer and then press and hold the test button for 3 seconds located on the side of the ice maker. As ice is used up and the level of ice drops below the beam the ice maker starts up again. Once the ice maker has cycled you should hear water begin to fill the ice tray. Press and hold that until the ice maker begins to turn and run through a cycle.
It is not the cubed ice selection button on the control panel. You will hear another tone shortly if the ice maker is functional. Open the refrigerator door. You will hear a response tone at the press of the button.
This test fill button will be on the ice maker itself. If the refrigerator ice maker is not working the door switch might be defective. If the ice level control board fails the ice maker will stop making ice. Open the ice compartment by gently pulling the handle downward.
Press and hold the test fill button until the ice maker starts to turn cycle. As the level of ice reaches the top the beam is interrupted and the ice maker shuts off. The refrigerator s display will have an ice on ice off icon. 1 loosen the front screw as shown in the picture.
The power switch is located on the icemaker and is marked on and off. The test button is underneath. On the underside of the front of the tray is a test fill button. 2 lift up the hinge with one hand.
Set the ice maker switch to on or off. If water or ice were to fall from the tray the towel is there to catch it. Press and hold the button for about 3 secondsand the ice maker will begin to turn.
